Nina Iglesias
Nina Iglesias is a multi-disciplinary artist and designer from Mississauga, Ontario currently studying at OCAD University. Working primarily in weaving, her practice focuses on materials, exploring how forms and textures might convey aspects of identity, perception, spirituality and universal integrals. She exercises conversation with the materials' on their natural state, their histories and how they might want their lives to proceed. Then, through slow processes and craft techniques she uses her practice as a vessel to convey that which she has learned. Most of all her works aim to highlight, elevate and give back to the land which nurtures us, to replenish what she has taken, and to reciprocate the love she has been given.
